Seven high schools from Lower Silesia, Greater Poland and the Łódź voivodship are starting the second round of the cooperation programme with Wrocław University of Science and Technology (PWr) as patron schools. Their students will be frequent visitors to the (PWr) campus, and scientists from the Wrocław university will come to their schools with classes.
The secondary schools included in the programme come from Wieluń, Świdnica, Oleśnica, Kalisz, Wałbrzych, Leszno and Dzierżoniów. Schools covered by the university’s patronage for five years are selected through an internal ranking of high schools and technical schools from which the largest number of very good candidates applying to study at WUT comes.
As part of the cooperation, students can also, among other things, familiarise themselves with the work of selected student scientific circles and participate in the ‘Studium Talent’ project for extended classes in physics, mathematics and soon, chemistry. Schools also encourage them to participate in other educational and scientific programmes run by PWr.
