Researchers at the Silesian University of Technology have again been ranked among the world’s most influential 2 % of scientists in terms of the accepted citation rates of their publications.
This is the fourth ranking initiated in 2019 based on publications in the journal PLOS Biology by authors from Stanford University, Elsevier and SciTech Strategies, presenting a publicly available database providing standardised information taking into account publication achievements.
The list includes the names of scientists ranked on the basis of accepted indicators for assessing achievements, such as Hirsch index, number of citations, Impact Factor and role and place in the author list.
The classification is divided into two parts. The first (Table-1-Authors_career) includes scientists classified on the basis of the scientist’s lifetime achievements. The second table (Table-1-Authors_singleyr_2021) includes scientists classified on the basis of achievements achieved in 2021.
