The Industry Center 4.0 of the Silesian University of Technology has been launched at the Silesian University of Technology. The task of the unit will be to support enterprises in terms of the fourth industrial revolution.

°Industry 4.0 is a powerful change, it is a change in the production paradigm, new product solutions, new product architecture, new manufacturing systems, and new business models. Understanding this change is the first step. A lot has already been done in this regard; many entrepreneurs confirm that they are able to define what Industry 4.0 means for them. However, knowledge is one thing and practice is another one. We want to face the latter and develop competences in the Industry 4.0, both on the part of employees and managers°, explains the director of the Center, Dr Andrzej Soldaty.

The center will conduct research, implementation, training and educational activities, as well as develop innovative Industry 4.0 technologies.
