The HEET II project, carried out by the Silesian University of Technology (PŚ) with the KOMAG Institute of Mining Technology and SWE Sp. z o.o. , won the platinum medal of the PRIX EIFFEL International Competition of Inventions and Innovations.

The HEET II project ‘Innovative high efficiency power system for machines and devices, increasing the level of work safety in underground mining excavations’, concerns an innovative power system for machines and devices, which increases the level of work safety in underground mining excavations.

“The developed system can be used both underground and on the surface to supply electricity to equipment in our environment. The project’s innovativeness consists, inter alia, in the application of wireless transmission of electrical energy using the so-called capacitive method, which makes it possible to supply power to electrical equipment in motion, says the project manager”, said Dr Marcin Kasprzak, prof. PŚ.
