Silesian University of Technology has signed an agreement on cooperation with the German company HMS Bergbau AG. It will be mainly carried out in the areas of research, education and human resources. The partners decided to join forces to create a modern hard coal mine.

The University of Technology also agreed to educate HMS Bergbau employees, organize trainings using its own didactic base, perform expert opinions and analyzes, and provide engineering staff for a German partner. On the other hand, a German company will provide internships to students, organize recruitment of engineering staff from among the graduates of the University and enable students to write their diploma theses on topics related to the company’s operations.

Under the agreement, the new partners will also take joint actions to obtain financial resources, including EU funds, that enable the effective cooperation.
