The second Metropolitan Drone School has been launched. It is a joint project of the Centre for the Training of Civil Aviation Personnel of Central and Eastern Europe of the Silesian University of Technology (PŚ) and the GZM Metropolis. The training concerns unmanned aircraft technology (BSP) and the possibility of its use by local government units in the performance of public tasks.

The aim of the School is to develop a group of professionals with professional knowledge of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) and, in particular, the use of these technologies to carry out local government tasks.

“As part of the training, officials will participate in theoretical training, the topics of which will refer to such issues as: national and international aviation regulations governing the operational use and exploitation of BSPs, contemporary drone technologies, limitations and challenges related to the use of BSPs, and planning of BSP operations”, says Dr Jarosław Kozuba, professor of the University of Silesia.
