Silesian University researchers’ projects financed under the National Programme for the Development of the Humanities

A further 4 applications by researchers at the University of Silesia (UŚ) have received funding under the National Programme for the Development of the Humanities – National Heritage module.

Dr Maciej Stanek will carry out a project entitled ‘Krakow 15th-century university sermons, with reference to ‘Recommendationes scientiarum’ and ‘Principia’ to philosophical writings’. The subsidy amount is over PLN 1.3 million. 

Dr Jolanta Gwioździk, Professor at the University of Silesia, won more than PLN 670,000 for the project ‘Bibliotheca Bavoroviana Leopoliensis – a database of incunabula and prints from 1701-1830 in the Lwów collection and books moved after 1939. Condition, scientific study and conservation assessment”.

Dr Renta Dampc-Jarosz, Professor at the University of Silesia, will carry out the project ‘Poles in Germany in the light of research on the Archives of the Polish Catholic Mission in Hanover – editing documents’ with a funding up to PLN 770,000, and Dr Dariusz Bęben, Professor at the University of Silesia, won more than PLN 130,000 for the project “Polish philosophers at the World Congresses of Philosophy (1900-1937)”.
