Future nurses studying at the State Higher Vocational School in Głogów will expand their competences in the new conditions. A Monoprofile Medical Simulation Center has been opened at the higher school.
The university raised over PLN 2.5 million to launch the Center and introduce new educational methods with the use of medical simulation. The unit with modern educational equipment is to improve the quality of nursing education.
At the Center, they will be able to use simulators that can reproduce basic life functions: pulse, heart rate, breathing sounds. This equipment will help in achieving manual dexterity, acquiring a specific skill, e.g. setting up peripheral vascular access. During low-fidelity simulations, the main focus is on exercises with the use of medical equipment and a trainer / simulator.
