Monika Lubińska, a student of Polish philology at the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Silesia in Katowice, is the winner of the ninth Diamond Grant program. Her project “Contemporary Art and Poetry as a Laboratory of Energy Narratives and Imaginations in the Perspective of Ecological Hazard” received nearly 180,000. PLN funding.
The aim of the project is to analyze selected works of contemporary art and poetry in terms of the presence of the issue of energy in the context of ecological threats. For an in-depth perspective, the category differentiating the research material are artistic media: language (poetry), body (body art, performance) and visual code (exhibitions, art installations).
The Diamond Grant is a competition aimed at exceptionally talented students or graduates who conduct high-level research and have outstanding scientific achievements. This year, 69 winners have been selected.
