Student rocket of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow ranked second in the US competition

The “Turbulence” rocket created by students of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków took second place in the IREC rocket competition in the USA in the category of liquid-fueled and reaching the level of over 9 km rockets. Team AGH Space Systems is the first and only team from Poland so far, which took part in the prestigious Spaceport America Cup 2018 competition – informs Anna Żmuda-Muszyńska, AGH spokesman.

The competition was attended by 132 teams from around the world that competed in six categories.
Each team was evaluated in terms of technical documentation, quality of the final design, flight and recovery of the rocket, the amount of own hand-made and designed elements and the overall assessment of the team professionalism. Taking into account all characteristics, “Turbulence” won second place in its category.
