University Natural Center is open all summer

The University Center of Natural Sciences will be open all summer on the campus of the University of Bialystok. The visitors can visit it from Monday to Friday between 9.00-15.00 and on Saturdays, from 9.00 to 14.00. Admission is free – informs Katarzyna Dziedzik, a spokesman of the University of Bialystok.

The facility consists of 9 exhibition halls and 10 permanent exhibitions. The largest exhibition room is dedicated to the nature of north-eastern Poland. Visitors can see bisons, moose, deer, as well as wolves, badgers, raccoons, beavers and many species of birds. In addition, thanks to special infospots, visitors can learn to recognize 220 species of Polish birds and their voices.

In the next rooms, guests can see fossils of post-glacial sediments, minerals and rocks as well as exhibitions presenting protected and characteristic plants of the Podlasie Region, the fauna of subtropical seas, tropical arthropods and the wildlife of polar regions.
