Students of the Science Clubs of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow will receive over one million PLN for nearly 30 innovative projects from the funds of the program “Initiative of Excellence Research University (IDUB)”. This time, projects dealing with space, robotic and construction engineering will obtain financial support.

The highest funding (over PLN 160,000) will be awarded to the Geowiert Scientific Club for the implementation of a project on the use of boreholes for energy storage and the development of a heating system on the example of the AGH UST campus. Other highly co-financed projects include Autonomous and internal combustion cars (Kinematics Science Club) or lithium batteries for motorsport applications (Mechatronics Science Club).

The awarded projects also include a 3D model of Krakow’s monuments for people with visual disabilities (Scientific Club of Metal Experts). As part of the task, students will undertake the preparation of a specialist presentation of the most interesting historical objects for visually impaired people.
