Students of the Silesian University of Technology, associated with the Scientific Club of Unmanned Flying Objects High Flyers, became laureates of the KoKoN Technical University Forum competition. The High Flyers team turned out to be the best in the “Innovations and new technologies in ecology” category.

Students presented their drone system supporting precision farming and environmental protection. The system identifies areas affected by plant disease pathogens, diagnoses fruit tree diseases, and then conducts precise spraying of plant protection products.

The KoKoN competition is addressed to students of technical universities operating in research clubs. The idea of ​​the competition is to develop scientific and social activity along with the integration of the student community, promote scientific activity and build a dialogue between technical universities in Poland and external companies. This year, 21 projects from all over Poland were submitted to the competition.
