Students of the medical faculty of the University of Zielona Góra won the Polish Surgical Sewing Championship. Zielona Góra University organized competition for 80 medical students from 20 teams from all over Poland.

The competition included 4-person teams from medical universities, clubs and student associations from all over the country. The two-day competition was divided into two parts. In the first, theoretical part, the lectures were held to prepare participants in terms of content. The second practical part consisted in checking the skills acquired on the first day. Students from Zielona Góra defended the title from last year. The second place was taken by the team from Wroclaw, and the third by the students from Lublin.

The main goal of the championship is to raise the knowledge and skills of medical students in the field of surgical stitching techniques, knowing modern suturing materials and the integration of medical universities from Poland.
