Students of the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology of the Warsaw University of Technology (WEiTI PW) joined the ALTER startup and are working on technologies supporting the development of the Internet of the future, web3 and metaverse. Their task is to build tools for creating identity including avatars that will represent people in a virtual space.

People associated with the project predict that the Internet of the future will bring a real revolution. Global platforms such as Google and Facebook could be replaced by local networks. Thanks to the created avatars, it will be possible to penetrate into individual worlds in a shared virtual reality.

“Currently, in the world of IT specialists, there is a real arms race and a fight against time. Whoever provides the best tools for efficient functioning in virtual reality will win in the real world. I am glad that we are contenders for victory”, says Prof. Tomasz Trzciński, manager of CVLab at the Institute of Computer Science of WEiTI PW.
