Students of the West Pomeranian University of Technology awarded in an international competition

Kinga Gawlik, Stanisław Zmkowski, Piotr Rajewski and Korneliusz Wielechowski, students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture of the West Pomeranian University of Technology, have been awarded in the #FLORENCECALL architectural competition organized by the international organization Archicontest.

The competition was addressed to students and professionals worldwide. The participants’ task was to develop the concept of the Museum of Arts and Crafts – MAMe, which in the future will become a new cultural center of Florence. The submitted projects had to implement the city’s socio-cultural offer.

The student project is divided into two parts. The first part is a square with pedestrian routes, enabling observation of the historic church from different levels. The second part includes a museum covered with a metal coating of the facade, which include the rooms and controls access of light.
