Students support the Constitution for Science

26.02.2018

The works on the reform of higher education that lasted for nearly two years and included consultations with academic and scientific communities, entered the stage of government and parliamentary works.

Despite the reservations made by some politicians, the new solutions were supported by students of the Students’ Parliament of Poland and the Independent Students’ Association (NZS).

According to NZS, the reform will prepare national universities for the challenges posed by the modern state.

– It is undeniable that the dynamically changing labor market, the needs of society or the growing economy require modern solutions also in higher education. According to the Independent Students’ Association, the Constitution for Science responds in general to the challenges of the modern socio-economic system – wrote the chairwoman of the National Board of the Independent Students Association Maria Cholewińska in a letter addressed to Minister of Science and Higher Education, Deputy Prime Minister Jaroslaw Gowin.
