Three scientists from the Gdańsk University of Technology receive START scholarships

MSc. Mateusz Daśko and MSc. Mariusz Szkoda from the chemical department and Dr Eng Michał Winiarski from the Faculty of Technical Physics and Applied Mathematics of the Gdańsk University of Technology received scholarships from the Foundation for Polish START Studies. Dr Eng. Winiarski has also received a distinction for his application.

The winners were selected from 890 candidates. The basic criterion for awarding a scholarship is the quality of scientific achievements. The annual support amounts to PLN 28 thousand PLN or PLN 36 thousand for additionally awarded students . The money can be used for any purpose.

The START is the largest scholarship program in Poland for researchers under 30 years of age, representing all fields of science. The group of scholarship holders are over 2,900 people. Scholarships are to support young scientists financially in the difficult beginnings of their careers and enable them to devote themselves fully to science.
