University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań launched an institute in Athens

The Polish Archaeological Institute of Athens (PIAA) has been already launched by Poznań University. The institution will assist all Polish researchers of the history of Greece, not only archaeologists. PIAA is, in terms of the organization is a unit of the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań (university center). 

PIAA was established thanks to an agreement signed by: University of Adam Mickiewicz Poznań, Institute of Archeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, University of Rzeszów, University of Warsaw and University of Wrocław.

PIAA’s tasks include promoting Polish scientific achievements and culture in the international intellectual environment of Athens and the whole of Greece. For this purpose, the university will launch: scientific and cultural programs, which will include lectures, seminars, exhibitions, readings, summer schools and other types of events.
