University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań rated among the 1000 best universities in the world

The results of the Shanghai 2021 ranking have been published. The list of the prestigious Academic Ranking of World Universities includes 10 universities from Poland, including the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań (AMU). The university was rated in the range of 901-1000. 

Compared to the previous year, AMU recorded an increase in the indicator assessing activity per employee, which is the sum of points scored in all indicators divided by the number of employees.

The Shanghai Ranking evaluates universities by the number of  Nobel laureates and the Fields Medal, top-cited papers, articles published in Nature and Science, and data from the Science Citation Index-Expanded and Social Science Citation Index (Clarivate Analytics) databases.

Harvard University, Stanford University and the University of Cambridge are invariably the winners. In Poland, the leading places are occupied by the Jagiellonian University and the University of Warsaw (401-500) and the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow (701-800).
