At the University of Białystok (UwB), registration for full-time Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes has ended. The university recorded 4901 applications in the Internet Recruitment of Candidates (IRK).

According to UwB, this year’s secondary school graduates could choose from among 32 faculties, in which the largest university in Podlasie prepared a total of almost 2.5 thousand places. Record-breaking interest was shown in law (488 applications), English philology (452) and economics (441). More than 300 applicants signed up for management (364) and criminology (353).

As in previous years, criminology has the highest number of applicants – more than 14 – competing for a place. There is also considerable competition for English philology with Spanish (more than 8 applicants per place) and security and law (6.5 applicants per place).
