University of Białystok to hold III Białystok Cognitive Forum

The relationship between conscious and unconscious cognitive processes, cognitive processes taking place in states of disturbed consciousness and during sleep, the problem of awareness in the context of research on artificial intelligence – are some of the topics that were included in the program of the 3rd Bialystok Cognitive Forum, which will be held on March 5-6 2021. It is organized by the Institute of Philosophy of the University of Białystok (UW) and the Cognitive Science Club of the University of Bialystok.

During the Forum, lectures will be given by invited guests including Prof. Napoleon Waszkiewicz (Medical University of Bialystok), who will talk about cognitive delirium. Psychologist Dr Piotr Markiewicz (University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn) will talk about the latent cognitive processes that take place during sleep.

Hysteria in the context of new research on unconscious cognitive processes will be discussed by Dr Mira Marcinów (Psychoanalytical Thought Center, Institute of Philology of the Polish Academy of Sciences), while  Dr Magdalena Reuter (Pedagogical University in Krakow) will talk on phenomenological interview in cognitive research.
