05.03.2021

The Minister of Education and Science, Przemysław Czarnek, has signed an agreement with the Copernicus Science Center (CNK) on launching the Discovery, Imagination and Activity Zones (SOWA) at the already existing cultural institutions, incl. libraries, museums and community centers.

The Ministry will allocate PLN 44 million for this purpose in the next four years, of which PLN 12 million this year. The Discovery, Imagination and Activity Zones will consist of an exhibition (exhibits showing phenomena related to various fields of science) and Masterspace, i.e. a space where participants can take logical, construction and engineering challenges alone or in groups.

The first two SOWAs will be located in 2021 in Racibórz and Piotrków Trybunalski, and the next 30 centers will be launched in 2022 and 2023. Specific locations will be selected in the procedure organized by the Copernicus Science Center in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science.
