On Saturday, 3 September, the Centre for the Popularisation of Science at the University of Bialystok (CPN UwB) is inviting visitors to the ‘Cosmic Campus’. The event will include shows at the UwB Planetarium, journeys through the Solar System, experiments with magnetism and colours, workshops on creating rotating sky maps and a sundial, and observations of the Sun through the Lunt telescope.

“The whole family is invited to join in the fun and explore the mysteries of science together in an interactive way. We are especially inviting all astronomy enthusiasts. The Planetarium and Observatory of the University of Białystok will be waiting for you”, says Dorota Sawicka, the head of the Centre for the Popularisation of Science.

UwB’s youngest visitors will be entertained by the colourful animation “Mice and the Moon”, while older visitors will be offered the educational film “The Universe and the Rest”. This visually and musically perfect screening will take viewers on an extraordinary journey through time and space. After the film at the Planetarium, Professor Marek Nikolajuk from the Faculty of Physics of the University of Białystok will take the audience on an expedition through the Solar System.
