Zielona Góra to host an international scientific conference “Objectives, paths and methods of law transfer. Successes and failures of law transplantation”

The Department of Civil Law, Civil Procedure and Comparative Private Law at the University of Zielona Góra (UZ) is inviting participants on 5 and 6 September to the international scientific conference ” Objectives, paths and methods of law transfer. Successes and failures of law transplantation”. 

The debate will focus on the analysis of the objectives, functions and methods of legal transfers. In particular, an answer will be sought to the question of what legal, social, political, economic, scientific factors determine the success or failure of transplants of legal institutions from one legal system to another.

The conference is being held as part of the ‘Iura Privata in Comparatione’ series, in cooperation between the UZ and Collegium Polonicum, European University Viadrina, Vienna University of Economics, Jagiellonian University and the University of Würzburg. Researchers from Poland, Germany, Austria, USA, UK, Georgia, Belarus, Switzerland, Turkey, Japan and Nepal will participate.
