University of Economics in Poznań to realize Polish-Taiwanese research project

Dr Eng. Daria Wieczorek, Poznań University of Economics and Business, the Department of Instrumental Analysis has once again received funding for research conducted jointly with scientists from the National Taiwan University.

The research project concerns the development of novel derivatives of otilonium bromide as antifungal agents. The project planned the synthesis of OB derivatives, determination of the mechanism of action and antifungal properties, as well as determination of the cytotoxicity and therapeutic efficacy of these compounds.

The research received funding in the National Center for Research and Development competition conducted jointly with the Ministry of Science and Technology in Taipei as part of research cooperation. The value of the budget of the University of Economics in Poznań is over 408 thousand PLN. This is the second Polish-Taiwanese project of Prof. Wieczorek. The first initiative was realized in 2017-2020.
