The University of Gdansk (UG) is a partner in the INCUBATING FREEDOM FOR UKRAINE project. Its aim is to develop and test tools and strategies to help Ukrainian war refugees gain skills in IT and Industry 4.0.

“Both the public and private sectors should create supportive initiatives to attract and retain more Ukrainian women in IT. Thanks to their commitment and desire to develop, more and more women are choosing to retrain and upgrade their skills. And through the training courses organised by the project, refugee women will have the opportunity to take the first step towards a suitable job”, says the project coordinator, Dr Aneta Oniszczuk-Jastrząbek, Professor UG

This initiative will contribute to reducing the shortage of IT specialists in EU countries, improve the migration situation, and have a positive impact on the social and financial situation of families fleeing war.
