The University of Gdansk has established cooperation with the Gdansk Museum. The signed agreement provides for, among other things, the organisation of joint events and the popularisation of science and culture, and opens the way for the formalisation of the hitherto unofficial cooperation.
According to the agreement, the two institutions will undertake initiatives to popularise science, knowledge, art and culture, to organise scientific, educational and cultural undertakings and to conduct information and promotional activities concerning joint cultural and scientific events.
The agreement signed by the rector, Professor Piotr Stepnowski, PhD, and the director of the Gdańsk Museum, Professor Waldemar Ossowski, PhD, UG, allows the formalisation of relations between the partners and the involvement of the entire university in joint activities.
“The idea is to create various cultural and scientific events together,” says Marta Szaszkiewicz, director of the Gdańsk University Museum, which has carried out most of the projects with the Gdańsk Museum to date.
