The University of Lodz (UŁ) has become the leader of the new RiEcoLab project – Responsible Innovation-Led Entrepreneurial University Transformation Centers (Ecosystem Integration Labs) / Consortium of Innovative Universities. 

The aim of the project is to develop an innovative method of conducting research and development at universities, ensuring immediate commercialization (spin-off) and the involvement of a large number of internal stakeholders (research workers and others, as well as students).

The project received funding under the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) for Higher Education (EIT’s HEI Initiative: Innovation Capacity Building for Higher Education).

As part of the RiEcoLab project, the university will cooperate with: Helixconnect Europe (Romania), Wageningen Economic Research (Netherlands), University College Dublin (Ireland), Yaşar University (Turkey), National School of Political and Administrative Studies (Romania), Accreditation Council for Entrepreneurial and Engaged Universities (Germany), European Business Angels Network (Belgium).
