The Team for Political Research on Sports in the Department of Political and Political Theory of the Faculty of International and Political Studies of the University of Lodz are organizing on May 6, 2019 an interdisciplinary scientific conference “On the centenary of policy and sport relationships”.

What were the determinants of the links between sport and politics? Can the phenomenon of sport politicization be placed within a given geographic and temporal framework? How did politics affect sports in the past and how is it happening today? The participants will discuss those issues at the conference, which will take place at the Municipal Stadium in Łódź.

Due to the interdisciplinary character of the conference, the organizers are inviting not only political scientists, but also representatives of other disciplines and specialties in the humanities and social sciences, as well as specialists in physical culture and sports journalists.
