The University of Rzeszów (UR) has become a member of The Baltic University Programme (BUP), which gathers around 100 universities from 10 countries in the Baltic Sea region.

The origins of BUP date back to 1991, when an initiative was born to break down the information barriers left by the Iron Curtain. For more than three decades, the programme has grown steadily, promoting cooperation in education and research on sustainability and democracy.

Joining the programme will enable the UR academic community to participate in projects, courses and conferences organised by BUP partners.

The university community joining BUP is given the opportunity to apply for funding for various scientific and teaching activities. Researchers, students and doctoral students can participate in BUP events, conferences organised for academic teachers, seminars and scientific conferences, as well as meetings aimed at students or summer science courses. The programme also provides support to university authorities on key issues related to internationalisation.
