Prof. Dariusz Rott, from the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Silesia in Katowice, has joined the international group of higher education experts assessing the reputation of universities within two consecutive editions of the annual QS Global Academic Survey ranking.

The ranking is an important indicator of the prestigious QS World University Rankings – the second most recognisable ranking of the world’s best universities at global, regional, subject and programme level, alongside the Academic Ranking of World Universities (commonly known as the Shanghai List).

The ranking has been published since 2004 by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), in conjunction with the Times Higher Education. In this ranking, a university’s position depends 40 per cent on the opinion of a panel of expert university lecturers. Professor Rott was submitted to the expert database by the Strategy Department of the Czech Masaryk University in Brno.
