University of Silesia to examine people’s ability to cope with the global crisis

International scientists from 6 European universities are launching pioneering research to support governments, policy makers, healthcare and experts in making decisions and actions during the coronavirus pandemic. The project coordinator is Prof. Barbara Kożusznik from the University of Silesia.

Psychologists will examine people’s ability to cope with the global crisis, taking into account the specificities of countries and actions taken by governments. Researchers want to identify factors that alleviate the effects of stress related to the spread of coronavirus and behavior that can protect people.

The project “Analysis of individual psychological factors promoting adaptation in the COVID-19 pandemic situation” will be implemented by: University of Silesia, University of Montpellier (France), Valencian International University, Complutense University in Madrid (Spain), Ghent University (Belgium) and Technical University in Eindhoven (Netherlands).
