University of Silesia to launch a course for foreign language teachers

Until August 22, the School of Polish Language and Culture at the University of Silesia will conduct a course for foreign lectors of Polish as a foreign language. It is attended by people who teach Polish every day in schools, colleges and various cultural institutions in Ukraine, Russia, Japan, Slovenia, China and Azerbaijan.

Participants take part in several specialist panels: linguistic, literary and cultural, realist and methodical meetings. Classes are aimed to teach them the latest methods and techniques of working as a foreign language teacher, suggesting methodically attractive solutions to selected issues and presenting textbooks, workbooks, lexicons, collections of tasks that have appeared in recent years.

Lectors will also take part in the practice, conducting classes with students participating in the summer school of language, literature and Polish culture. The course is organized on behalf of the National Academic Exchange Agency.
