The University of Silesia will begin creating a unique competence center specialized in the field of microscopic research on “soft matter”. The idea will be implemented as part of the project ‘Center for Microscopic Matter Research (CMBM SPIN-Lab)’, and its implementation will enable providing advanced scientific research, research and development works and training activities.

The creation of the Center will lead to the consolidation and development of research on the physicochemical properties of modern materials and nanomaterials that are used in medicine, pharmacy, aviation and automotive industries.
The project provides for the implementation of construction and infrastructure investments, as well as the introduction of modern methods of managing research and development works. Their implementation together with the integration of the scientific community and research conducted in scientific and research units in the region will contribute to the creation of a European competence center.
