The University of Szczecin (US) and The Pomeranian Library (Książnica Pomorska) will collaborate on the promotion of the works of Joanna and Jan Kulm. A letter of intent to this effect was signed by Przemysław Wraga, Director of Pomeranian Library, and Dr Kinga Flaga Gieruszyńska, Professor at the University of Szczecin, Vice-Rector for Organisational Affairs and originator of the idea to establish the Museum of Joanna and Jan Kulm at the University of Szczecin.

The signatories of the agreement announce substantive cooperation in the creation and subsequent operation of the university’s Joan and Jan Kulm Museum – an institution of significance for Szczecin, West Pomerania and the entire country – and the commencement of cooperation aimed at popularising the work of Joan and Jan Kulm.

The Kulms (Joanna, an actress, director, poet, honorary doctor of the University of Szczecin and an honorary citizen of Szczecin, and Jan, a pianist, philosopher, director and Home Army soldier) left many valuable mementoes in Szczecin. Most of them have been placed in the Main Library of the Szczecin university”.
