The University of Szczecin and the Międzyzdroje commune have signed a letter of intent on cooperation. Its beneficiaries will be primarily students who get the opportunity to participate in  paid internships at the Promotion Office, the Tourist Information Office and the Międzyzdroje City Hall.

The mayor of Międzyzdroje founded a cash prize for the best diploma and master’s theses of students of the University of Szczecin, which will concern the commune and the natural environment of the Wolin National Park. A very important aspect of their activity will also include the implementation training programs for water rescue services in the coastal belt of the commune by the university.

– The scientific potential and expert potential of the University should be used for joint activities supporting environmental protection, tourism development or in applying for EU funds – says Prof. Waldemar Tarczyński, rector of the University of Szczecin.
