The Minister of Science and Higher Education awarded 494 thousand PLN for the purchase of highly specialized research equipment for the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Technology and Humanities in Bielsko-Biała.

The new research apparatus is a set of technologically advanced devices that allows conducting various types of experiments on the model of an insulated organ in the conditions of a Schuler bath.

One of the main areas of the use of this equipment is to study the response of blood vessels, mainly arteries, to various endogenous and exogenous substances with the potential of vasoconstricting or vasodilating. Technological advancement of new devices will allow for extremely precise and repeatable measurement of key parameters from the point of view of physiology and pathophysiology of the circulatory system.
