The University of Warsaw has become the leader among Polish beneficiaries of the Horizon 2020 program in terms of the number of implemented and coordinated projects in 2014-2020.

The University of Warsaw also received the highest amount of funding for the development of research and innovation among Polish scientific institutions – nearly EUR 32 million according to an analysis carried out by the National Contact Point for Research Programs of the European Union.

The University of Warsaw has increased Poland’s participation in the Horizon 2020 program to the greatest extent, acquiring almost EUR 32 million for the development of research and innovation in Poland. The University of Warsaw also coordinates the project with the highest value – EUR 16.5 million – says Prof. Zygmunt Lalak, Vice-Rector of the University of Warsaw for Research.
