The University of Warsaw (UW), the University of Sorbonne, Center National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) and the Embassy of France have signed a letter of intent, which aims to deepen Polish-French cooperation in the field of social sciences and humanities.
The letter assumes that the University of Warsaw within a year will launch the French-Polish Center for Social Sciences and Humanities of Michel Foucault at the University of Warsaw. The new Center would develop activity in the field of: Franco-Polish research relations in the field of social sciences and humanities; cooperation within the 4EU + Alliance, whose members include University of Warsaw and Sorbonne University – joint projects with 4EU + universities, exchange of scientists, students and doctoral students as well as running their own research activities.
The letter of intent in this matter was signed by: Prof. Marcin Pałys, rector of the University of Warsaw; Prof. Jean Chambaz, president of the University of Sorbonne; Alain Schuhl, deputy director general of the CNRS and Frederic Billet, ambassador of the French Republic in Poland.
