At the request of the Rector of the University of Wrocław, Professor Robert Olkiewicz, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has decided to donate to the University of Wrocław treasury bonds for the increase of the University’s basic capital, with a total nominal value of ten million PLN.

The money will be used to complete the renovation of the Historical Institute building at the University of Wrocław, where medieval elements of the façade and Baroque frescoes were discovered during construction work. The discovery significantly increased the cost of the renovation.

“It is not every day that 10 million is won for a university. This is big news, the discovery of the frescoes made the budget for the renovation of the Historical Institute building insufficient. Thanks to the bonds donated by Prime Minister Morawiecki, we can take proper care of our historical legacy and the historic premises of the university”, stresses Prof Olkiewicz.
