University of Wrocław to implement the DARIAH project

The University of Wrocław will implement the DARIAH (Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities) project for the development of digital humanities. The amount of financing is almost PLN 1.5 million.

The task of the Wrocław university will be to create a digital research infrastructure for the humanities and arts in the form of multilingual and multimodal systems and tools for their use for four thematic and task laboratories.

In the sources laboratory, linguistic and multimodal texts with a single and multicultural scope will be collected in the form of simple and complex corpus infrastructure, and the tasks of the automated enrichment laboratory will concern annotation of corpuses collected in the sources laboratory.

The Supervised Semantic Discovery Laboratory will build an infrastructure for consolidated dictionaries and thesauruses, while the Smart Analysis and Interpretation Laboratory will provide an interactive data analysis service.
