A laboratory ‘Distributed Measurement Systems and Wireless Sensor Networks’ has been opened at the Faculty of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and Automation at the University of Zielona Góra. This is the result of a partnership agreement between the IHP – Leibniz Institute for Innovative Electronics from Frankfurt (Oder) and the University of Zielona Góra.
The laboratory will be used to conduct joint scientific research and carry out research and development projects in the broad field of measurement systems, including issues in the area of wireless sensor networks, the Internet of Things, intermediate layer data processing and others.
The newly opened unit included 10 workstations equipped with state-of-the-art computer hardware. Its value is more than €100,000 and the funds come from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the INTERREG VA Poland-Brandenburg Cooperation Programme 2014-2020.
