The Ministries of Education and Science and Health will review and revise the educational standards for medical and medical-dental degree programmes so that students gain broader skills in oncology prevention and patient communication.
On 30 December 2022, an amendment to the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Science on the standards of education preparing to practise the profession of doctor, dentist, pharmacist, nurse, midwife, laboratory diagnostician, physiotherapist and paramedic was submitted for public consultation. The MEiN is cooperating with the Ministry of Health in this regard.
The two ministries will review and revise the educational standards for medical and medical-dental degree programmes “in a way that guarantees the acquisition of skills related to oncology prevention and early detection of malignant tumours, as well as care for people during and after anti-cancer treatment”.
