Dr Marta Sylla from the Institute of Spatial Management at the Wrocław University of Life Sciences will head the FOODCITYBOOST project on so-called urban agriculture. This European endeavour, implemented under the EU’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme, aims to improve knowledge about the impact of different forms of urban agriculture and the associated policies and legal frameworks on communities.

As envisaged, the project will provide integrated tools for the development, evaluation and monitoring of urban agriculture in a range of urban settings and the economic, social and environmental impacts of urban agriculture.

One of the tools will be a multi-tiered co-design platform (with a user-friendly interface) that will support practitioners and enable them to dialogue with policy makers and other stakeholders. The platform is also intended to be a resource for guidance on the implementation of local, regional and European policies.
