Prof Zbigniew Gaciong, Rector of the Warsaw Medical University (WUM), and the Rector of the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) in Warsaw, Prof Piotr Wachowiak, signed an agreement concerning the creation of a new course: Management in Health Care. This will be a two-year master’s programme run jointly by SGH and WUM.

The new faculty will have 60 students per year. Classes are planned in blocks and will be held three days a week (approximately 20 hours per week), which will allow students to combine their studies with work and gain practical experience in parallel.

The new course will be launched in the summer semester of the 2023/2024 academic year.

The programme of the new course combines the fields of management science, health sciences, economics, finance and legal sciences. Students will be equipped with knowledge of the mechanisms shaping the health sector, as well as the soft skills necessary for managers operating in this industry.
