Warsaw University of Technology to hold the 6th Prof. Jan Czochralski Award Competition

Warsaw University of Technology ( PW) is inviting participants to take part in the 6th Prof. Jan Czochralski Award Competition and to submit papers on issues related to the scientific and technical activities of the patron of the competition. The university is waiting for applications until 15 April 2024. 

The Prof. Jan Czochralski Prize is awarded in three categories: for a thesis (engineering, bachelor’s or master’s thesis), for a doctoral thesis, and for outstanding scientific and/or application achievements (the prize may be individual or team).

Works may be submitted to the competition from the area of Prof. Jan Czochralski’s activity, in particular concerning the following issues: processes of crystallisation and recrystallisation; obtaining, testing of the structure and properties and application of single crystals; obtaining and properties of alloys for sliding bearings; testing of the structure of metals and alloys; elastic and/or plastic deformation of metals and alloys; corrosion tests coupled with strength tests; light metal alloys, their structure, properties and applications.
