Wrocław University of Science and Technology, together with the Łukasiewicz Research Network and the Marigold company, is working on increasing the resistance of off-road and special vehicle chassis systems caused by harsh working conditions during off-road driving.
The project is implemented under the state defense and security program “Development of modern, breakthrough technologies for state security and defense”, codenamed “Szafir”. The National Center for Research and Development allocated over PLN 5 million to the work of scientists.
The project includes the testing of new construction materials and construction works. The result will be the start of the production of modern suspension systems in Poland, which are now largely imported. This will allow increasing the percentage of parts designed and manufactured in Poland in relation to the total value of produced vehicles and will create new jobs in Poland.
