Wrocław University of Science and Technology launched Academy of Young Explorers

21.10.2021

The Wrocław University of Science and Technology has launched Classes for children and adolescents as part of the Academy of Young Explorers (AMO). The program includes lectures on paper houses, chemistry in sport, as well as a lot of experiments and scientific curiosities.

The Academy has been operating at the Wrocław university for 15 years. It is a series of popular science lectures and workshops for primary and secondary school pupils. The subjects of the classes include exact, natural, technical and engineering sciences. Meetings are held once a month in different age groups.

In the last academic year, the activities of AMO were moved to the Internet due to the pandemic. This year’s program is attended by 300 children, and the classes are run in a hybrid form. This means that some pupils are present in the lecture hall at the University, as some participate in the classes via webcast. In this way, the university is able to guarantee safe participation for everyone.
