Dr Magdalena Worsa-Kozak from the faculty of geoengineering, mining and geology at Wrocław University of Science and Technology has been included in a list of one hundred inspiring women in mining, announced the British organisation Women in Mining UK.
The list promotes women active in the mining industry who can serve as role models and inspiration to others – pioneering significant changes to improve safety, sustainability and respond to climate challenges and inclusivity.
Dr Worsa-Kozak is a PhD in earth sciences. Professionally, she is a hydrogeologist, geologist, researcher and academic lecturer at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology.
She is a co-founder of the Association of Polish Hydrogeologists, a respected manager of interdisciplinary research teams and R&D projects with expertise in water and environmental management, mining, circular economy, geology, hydrogeology and sustainable resource management.
